What does it do?
RITES is an online software application that allows teachers to author learning units for their work programs. RITES is learner centred, current and caters for different learning styles. RITES sets the framework for lessons with the benefit of relevant, customisable educational activities.
Teachers have total control over the content. RITES encourages technology in the class room, and develops:
- a multitude of skills within the students
- effective, long lasting and fun activities
- visual, kinaesthetic, spatial, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills
Computer-based learning brings a new dimension to teacher-student interaction. It provides effective distance learning experiences, and also provides a resource for classroom-based education.
RITES brings all these additional benefits to the teachers, parents and students in the education industry by providing global access via the Internet or Local Area Network (LAN).
Benefits for teachers
- It is easy to use: teachers without advanced technical skills can use the website to make lessons and monitor students' progress.
- Teachers can create customised educational lessons online, with their own course materials and make it available to students over the web or via CD-Rom.
- It allows teachers to evaluate skills, analyse performance and track progress of their students.
Benefits for students
- The activities captivate students, and allow for rapid learning and improved academic performance.
- RITES is proven to motivate and engage students to participate in educational and fun activities. This translates into accelerated learning, increase in retention rates and productivity.
- The online lessons generate student engagement, motivation, and invites them to learn at their own pace, at school, at home. Anytime!
