New Class

To add a student to the class you have two choices. You can either add a new student, or add an existing student. It is important to make sure the student you are adding to the class has not already been given an account – they may have been set up with an account by another teacher for another subject. If you see their name in the list under the heading “Add Existing Students” then you know they are an existing student and you will need to add them as an ‘existing student’.

    Add a new student

  1. In the text box labelled ‘username’ type in the students username. The username of the student can be any name. We recommend the username of the student be uniform with other students at the organisation. For example, if the students name is Robert Smith, their username could be R_Smith, RobertSmith, Robert_Smith, etc. Note: The username cannot change.

  2. In the text box labelled ‘First Name’ type the first name of the student.

  3. In the text box labelled ‘Last Name’ type the last name of the student.

  4. In the text box labelled ‘Email’ type the email address of the student.

  5. When you have entered in all the information required, click the ‘Insert Student’ button.

  6. Add an existing student

  7. Tick the box labelled ‘select’ next to the name of the student/s you wish to add.

  8. When you have ticked all of the ‘select’ boxes that belong to the all the students you wish to add, click the ‘Add Selected’ button.

  9. A list of the students you have added will appear in a class list.
